Welcome to Stony Point English Mastiffs where our dogs are part of the family. When I saw my first Mastiff, I thought “I have to have one of them” but my wife didn't agree….. at first. The reason behind her not wanting one is that we have a Chihuahua and she was afraid a Mastiff would “eat” her little baby. I told her not to let their size fool her, they are big babies. From the moment we brought our pups home they we just big bundles of joy. We don't think you will find a sweeter giant in the world than the Old English Mastiff. Our dogs come from some of the best lines you will find including Beowulf's, Groppetti, Deer Run, Mtn. Oaks (Home of Ch. Mtn. Oaks Gunner who is in the movie "The Sandlot"), and the list goes on. We will do our very best in trying to breed the good traits from each of these lines and make an even sounder, healthier, better all around dog than their parents. All Stony Point Mastiffs will be fully tested before ever being considered for our breeding program. The tests include but are not limited to hips, elbows, eyes, heart, and patella's.

Our family right now consists of my wife and I, my 3 sons, 2 Mastiffs and a Chihuahua . Our boys are very active in sports and outdoor activities and keep us on the go all the time. When we started looking at the different breeds to see which would fit us best, we had to keep in mind just how busy our lives really were. The breed we chose had to be one that enjoyed the outdoors, exercise and lots of attention. I know lots of people think of Mastiffs as big fat lazy dogs, but despite this we still decided to get one because we just had to have one. That decision has worked out great for us, our girls go to ballgames, races, to the lake and the river with us and play hard all day long. After a day of hard play, the girls get lots of down time with our 3 boys.

The girls have become a major part of our life, from the show ring to just hanging out at home. Both girls come from championship bloodlines and have wonderful temperaments. We plan on continuing this by finishing our girls and producing champion quality puppies of our own. We believe that no dog should ever be bred without first considering what the genetic makeup of the puppies could be and how it will affect them in life.
